Columbia, ICOM Capacity Building Coordinator

Communication and Media Professional, Specialist in Business Administration and Master in World Heritage Studies. Currently, he works as Capacity Building Coordinator at the International Council of Museums ICOM. Previously, he led the Department of Education and Cultural Activities at the National Museum of Colombia from 2014 to 2017. He has also worked as consultant of UNESCO World Heritage Centre, Site Manager of San Agustin Archaeological Park , university teacher, and as researcher, planner and developer of exhibitions and projects at the National Museum of Colombia and other institutions. He has also been part of international courses such as the Intensive Course on Museology (JICA-Japan), Safeguarding Sound and Image Collections (ICCROM-Kenya) and The Engaging Museum (China). His interdisciplinary knowledge and intercultural experience have been an important asset to plan, manage and develop projects aiming to raise awareness about the value of cultural heritage.
