Period: Tongzhi reign (1862-1873), Qing dynasty (1644-1911)
Dimensions: height: 3 cm; mouth diameter: 14.5 cm; foot diameter: 7.5 cm

This plate has an open mouth, folded rim, round foot, and shallow, arced sides. The interior has a white ground ornamented with Canton enamel. The center of the interior is painted with a single floral design while the interior walls are embellished with floral scrolls. The folded rim features a patterned band with floral designs in reserved panels.

The shape and overall design of the plate are regular, and the glaze has a clean, lustrous finish. The ornamentation is accomplished primarily in a brilliant yet elegant combination of rouge famille rose and lighter-toned famille verte.

The Palace Museum acquired this piece as a donation by Han Wai Toon (Han Huaizhun, 1892–1970).
