This plate has an open mouth, folded rim, round foot, and shallow, arced sides. The interior of the folded rim has a band of blue ground with gold outlining and reserved panels featuring floral designs. The interior bottom has five floral roundels done in the same technique surrounded by a ring of Canton-enamel floral scrolls.
The shape and ornamentations and designs of the plate are classic examples of the period’s export market ceramics.
The plate was donated to the Palace Museum by Han Wai Toon (Han Huaizhun, 1892–1970).
