Pocket Watch with Gilded Copper Case

The case of black sharkskin features a flower design made of gold pins. In the center of the gilt copper case is a round foliated radial panel, surrounded by tulips, with a central portrait of a man. The enamel dial has two hands with a painted gold tulip at its center; the hands are also tulip shaped. Upon opening the movement, one can see an engraved dragon motif on the balance wheel. When the watch is wound, the dragon is put into motion with the wheel's continual movement. The movement plate is inscribed with the watchmaker and place of origin: THVRET, A PARIS.
