The artist has made full use of the natural beauty of the purple stone in this image of moonlight pouring down like water in the middle of the night, illuminating the deer, fungus, and fertile soil under the pine tree. The obscure and mystical atmosphere expresses a feeling akin to that of poetry or a dream.
