Medium: Jade
Dimensions: Height: 29 cm Length: 19 cm

On one side of this free-standing jade sculpture of a mystical mountain is imagery of deer and cranes; on the other side is imagery of a large Chinese parasol tree, bamboo, and lingzhi fungus (Ganoderma). Through a play on the homophonic relationships of the Chinese terms for deer, crane, and the traditional six directions (the four compass points plus heaven and earth), the piece is symbolic of springtime and abundance for all living things.
