The Qianlong Emperor's Bow of Wood, Black Cow Horn, and Birch Bark

This bow is made of wood covered with black bovine horn on the surface and lacquered birch on the back. On the tips are embedded bovine horn engraved with the Chinese characters qi and li, meaning "seven" and "power", respectively. The bowstring is padded with bone.
