Medium: glass beads, kingfisher feathers

Mainly decorated with glass beads and kingfisher feathers, the fan-face shaped headdress has a close-knit row of tassels on each side and a row of short tassels on the back. Usually phoenix headdress with yellow tassels was reserved exclusively for the empress. This one was designed for a lady of high social status.
