This kind of robe is roughly the Qing-dynasty version of python robe. Though decorated with dragons, it is not exclusively reserved for the emperor. In ten different colors, the robe is usually worn with "three-tip collars" (sanjian ling). The character's identity and status define in which color they wore this costume.
