Period: Qianlong reign (1736-1795), Qing dynasty (1644-1911)
Medium: zitan wood
Dimensions: height: 117.5 cm, width: 66 cm, depth: 51.5 cm

The chair's headrest is sumptuously carved in the Baroque style. The back panel is carved into the shape of a vase. The frame of the chair back and the armrests are both designed in western styles. The cabriole legs have eagle-claw-shaped feet, which rest on little balls linking the food stretcher.
Of historic and artistic value, the chair incorporates western styles in terms of its overall form and decorative patterns, which mirror the Cantonese furniture style in the Qing dynasty.
