Period: Qing dynasty (1644-1911)
Medium: ivory, wood
Dimensions: height: 13.8 cm, diameter: 11.4 cm

The ivory brush pot is decorated with a carved landscape on its exterior wall. The ivory relief is stained to resemble a traditional Chinese blue-and-green landscape painting. It intricately depicts an immortal's land including cliff, path, stream, clouds, pine trees, immortals holding ruyi scepters, and the legend "Dongfang Shuo steals peaches from the Queen Mother of the West".
