Item used in the Qing court In the form of a mallow blossom with four petals, the box is decorated with bamboo veneer. The natural color and varied texture of the bamboo threads create a distinctive ornamental effect. The cover is decorated with patterns of Eight Treasures, which include a wish-granting pearl, double lozenges, a stone chime, a pair of rhinoceros horns, double coins, an ingot, a coral, and a ruyi scepter. Enhancing the beauty of the box, the design expresses wishes for longevity.
