Period: Qing dynasty (1644-1911)
Medium: dark green nephrite
Dimensions: Height: 4.7 cm, Length: 9.3 cm, Width: 6.9 cm, Mouth diameter: 1.35 cm

The water container is made of dark green jade with speckles. It takes the form of a drunken figure enjoying himself and resting against two connected peaches. The larger peach is hollow for holding the water. The design is inspired by the theme of "drunken Li Bai" who was a poetry master of the Tang dynasty (618-907) and honored with the title "Poetry Immortal". Traditionally, this theme was popular in porcelain, stone carving, and clay sculpture.
