In the form a horse's hoof, the water container has a prominent mouth with square edges and a flat foot. It is covered with golden bamboo veneer, while bamboo veneer in darker tones was used to decorate the rims of the mouth and foot, as well as all the edges. Each side features either a geometric motif or a head of a ruyi scepter that is also made of bamboo. The cunning shape and pleasant color make this an outstanding bamboo-veneer object.
