< 1 >
Period: Qing dynasty (1644-1911)
Medium: eaglewood
Dimensions: length: 26.9 cm, width: 7.6 cm

The tile-shaped wrist rest, with an uneven surface, resembles a branch of an old tree, yet, due to excellent polishing, it is smooth to the touch. The lower part of the surface is carved with a rock, on which grows several wild chrysanthemums and other flowers. They are all supple and vivid. The rough and dark eaglewood is made graceful by the extraordinary design.
