The snuff bottle is carved with designs of lake rocks and plants on both sides. The golden dust filling the carved lines suggests its noble status. To ladle out the snuff in the bottle, an ivory spoon is attached to the rose quartz stopper.
Turquoise is one of the ancient semi-precious gems. It was considered mysterious and auspicious. The hard and brittle stone is usually sky blue, bluish-green, or green.
