Located in the western chamber of the studio's rear hall, the stage features a roof whose four corners gather to a point. A horizontal inscribed board "Preserving Grace and Elegance" hangs under the eave, flanked by two vertical boards inscribed with a couplet. All the inscriptions were rendered by the Qianlong Emperor (1736-1795). Only short, concise theatrical pieces were staged here for the enjoyment of the emperor when he was at the dinner table.
