The Gate of Martial Valor (Wuying men) is the front gate of the courtyard of the Hall of Martial Valor (Wuying dian), which is located in the southwest sector of the outer court. The spacious structure covers an area of five bays (jian) and is covered with yellow glazed tiles atop a hip and gable roof. Built with superb craftsmanship upon a raised platform of white marble, the grand gate is protected by white marble balustrades and the Inner Golden Water River (Nei jinshui he), which is spanned by three stone bridges.
