Gate of Lunar Essence (Yuehua men)

The Gate of Lunar is the west-side gate for the Palace of Heavenly Purity (Qianqing gong) compound and a main gateway to the front yard of this palace as well. Outside the gate runs the Primary West Corridor (Xiyi changjie). On the opposite side locates the Gate of Observing Righteousness (Zunyi men), the entrance to the Hall of Mental Cultivation (Yangxin dian), palace for rest and repose in Qing dynasty (1644-1911).
