The Gate of Conferring Blessings (Xiqing men) is the southwest gate for the Palace of Tranquil Longevity (Ningshou gong) compound. It serves as an important gateway to the central axis of the Forbidden City and to the Outer Court as well. Behind the gate is the square in front of the Gate of Imperial Supremacy (Huangji men) and the Nine-dragon Screen (Jiulong bi), while in front of the gate sits the square of Archery Pavilion (Jian ting).
