Palace of Great Benvolence (Jingren gong)

Built in 1420, this Palace was the residence of imperial concubines in the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. In 1654, the Kangxi Emperor (r. 1662-1722) was born in this hall.
