The Palace Museum collection includes approximately 30,000 articles of jade or precious stone. The Qing imperial family previously owned the majority of these works. Primarily consisting of jades, the collection also includes articles of quartz crystal, agate, lapis lazuli, rose quartz, malachite, and coral. The works are vastly diverse and exquisitely crafted.
