As the invitation from Administration of Cultural Heritage, Mr. Philippe de Montebello, the director of the Metropolitan Museum of Art gave a lecture on the Metropolitan Museum of Art and its management on Mar 19th, 2003 at the reporting center in the Palace Museum. Some managers and researchers of the cultural relics departments and the museums from Liaoning, Shandong, Shanxi, Henan and Hebei provinces and Beijing participated in this lecture. Mr. Montebello introduced the history, scale, present state and display idea of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and answered some questions about the management, exhibition and fund raising of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and establishment and operating of the private museums.
