The primary responsibilities of the Department of Retirement Services are as follows: implement the retirement policies of the Party and Nation; ensure the benefits of retired personnel; manage the finances for activities for retired personnel; ensure health care for certain retired personnel; organize activities to promote the mental and physical wellbeing of retired personnel; and assist in funerals and related services for deceased employees.
