Made of green jade with black flaws, the brush palette is in the form of a leaf with a curling tip and curved stalk. Its shallow surface is used for smoothing brushes. The reverse of the leaf has vein patterns. The black flaws are attributed to a fire. Influenced by the style of the western regions of China, this brush palette has simple carving and is more like an ornament. Smooth and dark in color, the elegance and beauty of the green jade is enhanced when touched with ink.
