The web site of the Palace Museum (hereafter referred to as "the Site" or "we") is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of its visitors.
You may use Dpm.org.cn without registering of submitting any personally identifiable information. However, we use this information you provide to send e-newsletters, contact you for answering inquires, announcing results of surveys and rewards of special activities, and improve the services both the Site and the Museum can provide. Personally identifiable information collected from the Site is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their marketing purposes (We may disclose your information to companies who, on our behalf, act as "data processors" and are required by contract to maintain the confidentiality and security of this information). We never share with third parties any personally identifiable information except as required by law.
The Site automatically collects some non-personally identifiable information about you when you request pages through your browser. We place Cookies on the Site users' computers to collect aggregate information for web site traffic analysis, such as the number of users and the number of pages viewed (Cookies are small files that reside in a visitor's browser). The Museum tries to respond to email messages expecting a response as soon as possible. If you send emails for inquiry, advice, or suggestion, your message and email address must be forwarded to the appropriate department within the Museum. The Museum may choose to save this information.
We are pleased to hear from you. However, any message, material, business information, ideas, concepts, or other information sent to us by email will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary.
