The exhibition, made possible via a partnership between the Palace Museum and Phoenix Satellite Television, opens on Tuesday, 29 May 2018. Free entry can be booked via the Palace Museum's online booking system at gugong.228.com.cn (only in Chinese).

The exhibition is located near the Archery Pavilion (Jian ting), with a space of approximately 1,600 square meters. It consists of three galleries, featuring interactive handscroll of immense scale, immersive theatre, and 4D dome cinema, respectively, accompanied by a themed space reenacting Northern Song (960-1127) literati lifestyle. Inspired by the artistic expression, cultural profundity, and historical landscape of the original painting, the exhibition applies interactive technologies such as 8K UHD and Cinema 4D dynamic simulation to recreate an immersive experience blending the virtual and the real.
